Ashame Stollie got hurt last night. It looks like Lyons will get the nod for the playoff run. Interested to see what he does with the opportunity. Lyons from the outside seems to have improved as the season has progressed.

I hope it is nothing too serious or career threatening for Stolarz. Any time you hear crutches involved it doesn't sound too good.

The Phantoms should be able to clinch home ice in one of these last 2 games. The game against Providence tomorrow should be pretty intense, setting the tone for a potential playoff series. The game against Binghamton on Saturday should be a mulligan/rest game for some in preparation for the playoffs. I guess it all depends on how the game goes tomorrow.

Big opportunity for Lyons. If he leads the team on a deep playoff run he could pass Stolarz on the depth chart. Stolarz has put up good, but not great, numbers with the Phantoms so his spot as the current top prospect/possible Flyers backup next year is certainly far from a lock.

All that being said, here is hoping that Stolie's injury is nothing more serious than a bad sprain to either the knee or ankle and that he is able to recover in time to at least return to the team before the end of the playoffs.

Bishop/Lyon

if the Bishop deal is 3 years or less, that actually does have a nice ring to it.

From an organizational standpoint, I feel like the only difference between Stolie and Lyon is that they drafted one and signed the other one as a FA. Their numbers look similar.

Lyon is a year older too! Both have looked both good and bad against whatever the Phantoms decide is defense. From what I have seen of them...Stolarz is still the better prospect. There is just a size and athleticism that can't be matched if he puts it all together. As they say in scouting...he has a higher ceiling and lower floor
